Atsuko Cheeba

Atsuko Cheeba

What got you into producing? How did it all start for you?
Well ive always been a huge music fan, and although it has always been a goal of mine to play an instrument of some sort, i have never had the skill or patience to play one. i realised i had the potential to learn sequencing and production at a fast rate as i dabbled a bit on FL studio as a kid. Once the dubstep/garage/dnb sound first hit my ears i fell in love with it. I got myself into mixing and producing dark, deep dubs around a year ago merely to express my feelings through sound.

What are your weapons of choice?
Like i said before, i dabbled a little bit on fruity loops as a kid, which helped me understand the basics of a DAW, then when i eventually got my hands on a copy of logic pro, i practised and practised until i understood how the software worked.

Do you have any future goals?
Not really, one of my goals was to be featured on a flyer for a club, which i have already achieved, so apart from that, im just going to see where this thing takes me.

Who are your main influences?
My main influences are Burial, Synkro, Falty DL, Mount Kimbie, El-B, (that sorta garage style), DMZ and all the dark, meaningful, less crazy side to dubstep.
